3) Is Reiki a religion?

It is not a religion and does not require religious beliefs. But if you are religious it fits in with and compliments your religious faith as you can say that the Reiki energy is God given, whether you are Christian, Jewish, Moslem or a follower of any of the oriental religions. Reiki is also there for the atheists who can accept that the energy is a natural phenomenon.

4) Can I pass on my cancer?

No. Nothing can be passed from practitioner to receiver except universal energy and that can never be harmful.

5) What is an attunement?

An attunement is the process by which the teacher connects the student to the Reiki energy. To use current computer terminology, the teacher downloads the software that is needed to operate the Reiki program into the student's hard drive. The attunment must be given by a qualified Reiki master. The attunement itself takes only a few minutes, and lasts a lifetime.
